About Us

Many folks have forgotten that pub means "public house." Not Joe Griffin.

 

Ever since 2012, Joe has been building a beautiful "public house" in South Pasadena. Joe's pub has more to it than being the local watering hole.

 

Instead, it is a gathering place rich with substance and the hum of busy conversation, a breeding ground for talent, a hub for people to come in contact with each other.

 

The menu goes hand in hand with the ambiance of the pub having traditional Irish fare, that is heartfelt and real. In short, Joe's pub is dedicated to the public it serves. 

"I want the pub to be where the community comes around and celebrates together. It's an extension of my living room. I want to welcome everyone who comes in, to join in and have a great time together."

"This pub is a gem in south pasadena. The owner, Joseph, is warm, friendly and most accommodating. He has created a true neighborhood spot. The food was delicious. The staff attentive and friendly. They couldn't do enough to ensure an enjoyable experience. Go early if you like soft background music - later for a live band. All in all - a fun evening either way."

"A place for some great fun with friends. Been going here with my friends since college. Family owned business that knows how to take of their customers. Irish themed with live music on the weekends. The live music is hit or miss but you definitely gotta check out their band the Drive. Absolutely fantastic and awesome. The Drive Band is very talented and plays great music. Drinks are great with good prices. The atmosphere is amazing. Would definitely recommend to my friends and others like you."

"This is not a sports bar. This is not your typical Irish bar with TV's galore. In fact there are no TV's. This is a great place to chill. To actually look at the person in front of you and hear them talk. The food is quite good too. The beer - especially the Harp on tap is amazing the way they add carbonation and how cold it is. I can suck down so many of these on an hot summer night. When they have bands it gets loud so you better like the music or move on until the band is done. Oh the wings, burgers, shepherds' pie all amazing."
